1)The third monomer of acrylic fiber: acrylic fiber which adopts itaconic acid as the third monomer is easy to dye.
2)Agglutinant:the plastic and coating which is compounded by using 1%-5%itaconic acid and styrene has some features, such as light color, easy to paint, easy to separation, water-fast, antisepsis; it can be used not only in manufacture of high strength enhanced plastic fiberglass,but also in coating of carpet and covers of books.
3)Binding material: crylic acid emulsion which contains itaconic acid is an excellent non-intertexture fiber products binding material; the binding agent which contains itaconic acid and polyvinyl chloride monomer also is excellent binding agent for paper and celluloid.
4)Bond for teeth: bond for teeth made by itaconic acid, crylic acid and high bond metallic oxide has good anti-pressure and physiology applicability.
5)Specialized lens: polymer which contains itaconic acid has special luster and transparency, it is fit for making synthetic cut stone and special lens.
6)Eradicator:polymer produced by itacossnic acid and crylic acid is a kind of macromolecule chelate agent£¬ it has special effect to resist filth form of basification calcium and basification magnesium in water treatment, so it can be used in boiler or cooling equipment purification.
7)Other usage:pyrrolidone ramification which is produced by mixing itaconic acid and aromatic radical diamidogen is excellent additive for lubricant, detergent, medicine, weedicide; itaconic acid and its ester are good additive for producing synthetic resin, positive ion exchange resin, surface activity agent, and is good adding plastic agent for plastic. Itaconic acid also is raw material for producing citraconic acid, mesaconic acid, itaconic anhydride, etc.
